Unlike many creative apps, Vayy requires no account creation, login, or personal identification to use its core features, meaning you can start shooting, editing, and creating immediately without sharing any personal details. Our privacy approach aligns with the fluid, intuitive experience of the app itself: simple, transparent, and focused on your creative freedom.
We collect only the minimal data necessary to deliver and improve the Vayy experience, and never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. All creative content you produce in Vayy remains your property and is stored locally on your device by default, with no automatic upload to our servers or cloud storage unless you explicitly choose to use optional cloud features (if available).
Local Device Data (No Server Upload): Your photos, edited frames, presets, and editing history are stored exclusively on your mobile device. We do not access, view, or store this content on our servers unless you initiate a manual backup or share action. This ensures your creative work remains private and under your control at all times. Your recent frames are organized locally for quick access, and only you can modify or delete this content.
Anonymous Usage Data (Optional): Vayy may collect anonymous, aggregated data about app usage to improve performance and user experience. This includes metrics like which editing tools are most frequently used, average session duration, and device type (e.g., iOS/Android version). This data is fully anonymized—meaning it cannot be traced back to you or your device—and is used solely to refine features, fix bugs, and prioritize updates that enhance the Vayy experience for all users. You can opt out of this anonymous data collection at any time through the app's settings menu.
Flux Economy Transaction Data (If Applicable): If you purchase Flux currency or premium in-app packs, we collect minimal transaction data (e.g., purchase amount, timestamp, device identifier) to process the transaction and verify ownership of premium content. This data is stored securely and only used for transactional purposes—we do not share it with third-party advertisers or marketers. Transaction data related to Flux economy purchases is retained for 3 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements, but is stripped of device identifiers after 12 months to minimize data retention.
